RACER Mission/Goals

To open lines of communication between the operators of Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), regulators, and community members while increasing the transparency and accessibility of information about the chemicals and radioactive materials found in the environment in and around Los Alamos National Laboratory;
To increase public participation in and knowledge of the RACER Project across all sectors of the community; in particular, sectors that are often not heard or overlooked with regard to operations at LANL
To provide environmental data in a consistent and understandable format
To incorporate data from other data providers in Northern New Mexico into RACER
To establish a permanent Technical Steward at a local academic institution
